About UoN Research Link

The University of Nottingham supports inter-disciplinary and cross-university research.

UoN Research Link lets you search for colleagues by areas of expertise and identify potential collaborators from across the University's three campuses (UK, Malaysia, China).

Search results are based on the content of researchers' individual UoN web profiles (eStaff Profiles for UK and Malaysia, RIS for China).

We endeavour to refresh the underlying data set every three months. The last refresh took place in November 2023. Keywords are automatically generated using the open-source, Python-based pke toolkit. Suggestions for related researchers are generated using the R library quanteda. Search results are presented in alphabetical order (by first name). For more information on how UoN Research Link functions, please see this blog.

The development of UoN Research Link has been developed by Simon Gosling (School of Geography), Jasper Donelan (Digital Research) and Michela Mariani (School of Geography). The project was supported by The University of Nottingham’s ESRC Impact Acceleration Account ES/T501992/1, the University of Nottingham's Data Driven Discovery Initiative (3DI), and the University of Nottingham's Research Culture programme. The website was built by Mackman.

UoN Research Link is a pilot project with support through to November 2025.
